SSize is a Palm program for calculating sample size. There is an extensive documentation in Adobe pdf format.

The program is compressed using PKzip.

There are three modules, as may be seen in the screen capture below:

The Response surface module is specialized for response surface sample size calculations. The Multiway Effects is quite general. Its main screen is shown below with the distribution drop down list extended.

It calculates sample size using either power or confidence interval widths for a variety of distributions with respect to linear models, and for a variety of specialized situations such as for logistic models and contingency tables. One sided tests are available in the two sample case for all distributions. The General Calculation module deals with sample size calculations in general. Among other things it displays accurate values for the noncentrality parameter of the F-distribution.
