Lamorna Path

Have you a good pair of boots? If so, the you must visit Brittain, it is a walker’s paradise, because you have the right of way, mostly. Benny Rothman and five others went to jail in 1932 for this right. If you are interested, contact the Ramblers’s Association.

The walk of walks is of course the end-to-end, from John O’Groats in Scotland to Lands’ End at the toe of the Cornish boot. As the crow flies it is about 650 miles, but it can be almost 1400 miles depending on how you go. Some take years to do it.  Lamorna Cove lies not far from Land’s End, and this picture shows part of the Coastal Path which hugs the cliffs and seems often to have more to do with mountaineering than with the sort of walking that I do.
